Partschins Waterfall (Cascata di Parcines) in Partschins/Parcines is the largest waterfall in South Tyrol. Water plunges freely 97 metres down a freestanding rock face in what locals call a 'liquid curtain'; the total height of the fall is around 130 metres. The waterfall is most powerful during snowmelt (May to June), when flow reaches 4,000 to 10,000 litres per second. It is the landmark of the village and one of the signature natural sights of Trentino-Alto Adige. The falls can be reached by several trails, including routes from the Texelbahn cable car stations.
