The peak sits within the southern Velebit range, between the Baške Oštarije pass and the Sladovača valley. It forms part of a mountain corridor linking Velebit's highland zone with the Adriatic coast — a steep path drops from the ridge down toward the seaside settlement of Lukovo Šugarje, part of the Karlobag municipality. The ridge itself lies along the Via Dinarica route (the HR-W-14 Southern Velebit stage), and nearby stand other well-known summits: Veliki Sadikovac, Mali Sadikovac, and Konjevača.

In winter and early spring, the route from Lukovo Šugarje can be dangerous due to ice and strong wind, and should only be attempted by experienced mountain hikers.
