Cascade du Moulin

Cascade du Moulin is a waterfall tucked into the woods above Vulvoz, a small village in the Jura department in eastern France, south of Saint-Claude. Visitors with more time can extend the trip to the Belvédère du Cuchet, a viewpoint reached via a marked GR trail; the round trip covers just under 5 kilometres with modest elevation gain and takes about an hour and a half. There's also a longer loop of around 15 kilometres starting from the nearby village of Choux, which links the waterfall and the viewpoint into a single, several-hour outing rated as moderately difficult. It's a good option for anyone looking for more than just a quick stop at the falls.
