Lac de Viry

Lac de Viry is a body of water in the commune of Viry, in the Haute-Savoie department, on the French side of the Geneva borderland (the Genevois area), close to the Swiss frontier and not far from Saint-Julien-en-Genevois.

Viry is the largest commune by area in the canton of Saint-Julien-en-Genevois, bordering Vers, Saint-Julien-en-Genevois and Feigères, roughly 18 km southwest of Annemasse. This stretch of the Franco-Swiss border is rural and gently rolling — fields, woodland and low hills at the foot of the Vuache range.
