Šatorina

Šatorina is the highest peak of the central Velebit range, towering above Croatia's Adriatic coast right behind the village of Cesarica. It reaches 1,623 m above sea level and, although it looks like a single cone-shaped summit from a distance, it is actually made up of two neighboring high points connected by a short ridge.

How do you get to the top?

Most hikers set off from the coastal area around Cesarica and Karlobag, where trails climb inland into the Velebit massif. The route passes through beech and spruce forest covering the lower slopes before opening up, above roughly 1,450 m, into wide grassy uplands.
