Why is Sa Societat worth a visit today?

The real turnaround came at the very end of the 20th century. Calvià's town council carried out a thorough restoration in partnership with the state housing authority, and the finished works were officially reopened in 2000. Since then, Sa Societat has run as a municipal cultural venue managed by the Calvià council, with a rotating programme of theatre, music, and film screenings.
