Risovac

Risovac is a landscape area in the Perušić municipality, right next to the village of Kaluđerovac, in the heart of Croatia's Lika region. Where is Risovac?

Risovac lies in Lika-Senj County, spread across several cadastral areas — Perušić, Mlakva, Donji Kosinj, Studenci, Kvarte, and Kaluđerovac itself. The whole area forms part of the "Risovac – Grabovača" protected landscape, established by a decision of the Lika-Senj County Assembly in late November 2019 and published in Croatia's Official Gazette in early January 2020. The protected zone covers close to 5,621 hectares, mostly forested and shaped by karst terrain.
