The park sits between the neighborhoods of Tristán, Miramar, Camino del Hierro and Polígono de Ofra, in the northern part of Santa Cruz de Tenerife. It covers roughly 31,000–32,500 square metres, making it one of the larger green spaces in this part of the city. Its name comes from the finca, a rural estate that once occupied the land — once the estate was gone, the site was turned into public green space.

Who designed it and when was it built?

The park officially opened in February 2007. It was designed by architect Fernando Menis, well known on Tenerife for public spaces that blend architecture with landscape. The layout is deliberately irregular, following an approach close to an English landscape garden: organic, free-flowing shapes and winding paths create a series of intimate, varied spaces rather than one open field. Planting and landscaping work continued over the following years, between 2008 and 2009, when more than a thousand trees and shrubs were planted, lawns were laid, and an irrigation system was installed, giving the park its dense, varied vegetation.
