Fundació Suñol

Fundació Suñol is a private contemporary art foundation and museum located on Passeig de Gràcia 98, one of Barcelona's most prestigious boulevards. The foundation opened to the public on 21 May 2007, showcasing one of the most substantial private collections of contemporary art in Catalonia and Spain as a whole.

What is Fundació Suñol?

Established in 2002, the foundation was created to preserve and promote the Suñol Soler Collection, assembled by collector Josep Suñol, and to strengthen the presence of contemporary art in the city through exhibitions, publications and educational programmes. Unlike many museums, Fundació Suñol keeps no permanent display: instead it mounts temporary exhibitions, each usually running for three to four months, so different parts of the collection are shown to visitors at different times of year.
