Darišica

Darišica is a hill rising above the village of Koprivno in the Dugopolje municipality, Split-Dalmatia County, Croatia. Its peak reaches 758 metres above sea level and forms the northern edge of the landscape around Koprivno, shielding the village from cold winds sweeping in from the interior.

Where is Darišica located?

The hill sits north of Koprivno, a small settlement northwest of Dugopolje, only a short drive from Split. Together with the neighbouring elevations of Grubuša (615 m) and the twin peaks Orgus and Križice (426 m), Darišica forms a ridge that closes off the valley from the north. The building suffered fire damage during the Second World War and was restored between 1992 and 2002.
