Cau de les Dents

Cau de les Dents is a prehistoric burial cave in the Montgrí massif, within the municipality of Torroella de Montgrí (Baix Empordà, Catalonia). Discovered in 1975 together with the nearby Cova d'en Calvet, it's considered one of the most significant sepulchral caves in the entire massif, dated to the Late Neolithic and early Metal Age.

When to visit?

The Baix Empordà region is best explored in spring and autumn, when temperatures suit hiking across the rocky, sparsely shaded terrain of the massif. In summer, heat can make longer routes between the individual caves more demanding.
