Cascade du Végay

Cascade du Végay is a waterfall tucked into a wooded ravine near the village of Aiglun, in the Alpes-Maritimes department of southeastern France. Falling in three successive tiers for a combined height of around 140 metres, it ranks among the taller and more dramatic waterfalls of the Préalpes d'Azur. The site sits within the Préalpes d'Azur regional nature park, close to the Clue d'Aiglun, one of the most striking gorges in the area, with rock walls rising 200 to 400 metres.

Where is the Végay waterfall located?

The waterfall lies in the Vallon de Végay, a small stream that feeds into the Estéron river. It falls administratively within the commune of Aiglun, a small inland village behind Nice, set in the heart of the pre-Alpine foothills.
