Wellness Kuřim

Wellness Kuřim is a sports and leisure swimming complex in the northern part of Kuřim, near Brno, reopened after a complete reconstruction in October 2010. The facility combines a competitive swimming pool with a family aquapark and a wellness zone, making it a draw for both local residents and travellers passing through South Moravia.

What does the pool area offer?

At the heart of the complex is a 25-metre sports pool with four lanes, used by regular swimmers and casual visitors alike. Next to it is an educational pool measuring 6 by 10 metres, fitted with water features designed for children learning to swim, along with a separate wading pool with a slide for the youngest visitors. Those looking for a bigger thrill can head to the 75-metre water slide, which runs through a tube enhanced with light effects.

A separate recreational pool features a so-called wild river, a wave cave and water jets, plus a whirlpool for passive relaxation in warmer water. In summer the complex also opens two outdoor pools, a children's playground and a beach volleyball court, which makes Wellness Kuřim a popular destination for family day trips during the warmer months.

Wellness and recovery zone

The wellness section includes a fitness and relaxation centre with a Finnish and a tropical sauna, and guests can also book a private Finnish sauna for two to six people, which comes with towels, sauna sheets and aromatic essences. The treatment menu ranges from unconventional beer, peat, salt and herbal baths to sessions in a multifunctional hydromassage tub, underwater and vibration massage, a steam sauna, an infrared sauna and aromatherapy. Classic and relaxing massages are also available for visitors who want to unwind after time in the pools.

The complex houses a restaurant with a lounge and a bar, so visitors can eat a meal without leaving the premises. A dedicated play corner is set up for children, and the whole site is laid out with families in mind, from the indoor wading pool to the outdoor playground.
