Świnica

Świnica is a mountain on the main ridge of the High Tatras, right on the Polish-Slovak border. Known in Slovak as Svinica, it rises to 2,302 m AMSL and has a marked trail that crosses the summit. Its Polish name was introduced in the mid-19th century, and it is usually linked to the peak’s resemblance to the silhouette of a swine, although another, less certain explanation says the summit was hard to reach. It is a good place for a mountain hike with wide alpine views.
