Parque El Toríl

Parque El Toríl is a municipal park in San Roque, in the province of Cádiz, designed by landscape architect Emilio Maestre. It sits on the southern edge of town, right next to the junction of the Mediterranean Highway (A-7) with the CA-34 road — the very interchange that forms the main gateway into San Roque. The park is bordered by Calle Velázquez, the municipal sports pavilion, and the El Toríl junction itself, which gave the park its name.

El Toríl has more than twenty years of history behind it, with the San Roque city council steadily adding new features to keep the site multidisciplinary and appealing to residents of every age. Younger visitors get a dedicated play area with a double zip-line, slides built into the slope, a pyramid-shaped climbing structure, a rope trampoline and a sandbox. Older visitors have their own recreation zone with exercise equipment, and the middle of the park opens onto a wide sandy ring used for walking and general outdoor activity.
