Lišnica

Lišnica is a rocky peak in the Mosor mountain range, rising above the village of Zvečanje in the Omiš municipality, Split-Dalmatia County, Croatia. It's one of the notable summits in the eastern part of the massif, well known among Croatian hiking clubs but still relatively off the radar for visitors from outside the region.

The peak reaches 928 m above sea level and sits in the eastern section of the Mosor range, between the Ljuto kame pass and the Cetina river valley. Jure (also called Kozik), then over Trpošnjik, up to Lišnica, before descending to the village of Zvečanje. What should you know before setting out?

The terrain is karst — rocky, and in places demanding sure footing, especially on the approach to the summit. There are no natural water sources along the route, so hikers need to carry their own supply. Rocks heat up quickly in summer, so spring and autumn are better times to attempt the climb, with milder temperatures and generally better visibility. Sturdy trekking boots are essential, since Mosor's karst surface can be slippery even in dry weather.
