Le Somport-Candanchú is a cross-border ski area straddling the Somport Pass in the Pyrenees — the Spanish side (Candanchú, in the municipality of Aísa, Aragon) sits barely a kilometre from its French counterpart, Somport. How do you get there?

Candanchú lies roughly 28 km from Jaca, the main town of the Aragonese Pyrenees, reached via the well-maintained N-330 road that runs straight up to the Somport Pass. From the French side, access is via Oloron-Sainte-Marie and Pau along the D934. The pass itself, at 1,632 m, has served as a natural border gateway for centuries — today open and unguarded, but historically significant as a crossing point on the Camino de Santiago.
