La Bresse-Hohneck

La Bresse-Hohneck is the largest and highest ski resort in the heart of the Vosges mountains, right above the town of La Bresse. The ski area spans between 900 and 1350 meters above sea level, close to the Hohneck summit (1363 m), the highest peak in the Vosges, which dominates the view from the upper slopes.

How to get there?

La Bresse can be reached by train — TGV or TER services to Remiremont, followed by a coach connection or a free winter shuttle bus to the resort. By car, the most convenient routes come from Nancy (heading toward Remiremont), from Strasbourg (via the Col de la Schlucht pass toward Colmar), or from Paris along the motorway leading into the Vosges. In winter, snow chains may be required on the higher sections of the access roads.

Beyond downhill skiing, the resort offers roughly fifty kilometers of cross-country tracks and forty kilometers of marked snowshoeing trails. Outside the ski season, additional attractions remain open, including a year-round toboggan run, a swimming pool complex, a zip line, and a natural, forest-ringed ice rink.
