Jelenski vrh

Jelenski vrh is a hilltop and lookout point in the municipality of Jelenje, in the Grobnišćina region just above Rijeka. It forms part of the Grobničke Alpe range, a chain of hills separating the Grobničko polje valley from the higher terrain of Gorski Kotar. It's the kind of spot that rewards visitors with a full view of the valley below without demanding a full day's mountain trek.

The starting point is in Rastočine, near Podkilavac. Spring and autumn are the best seasons: temperatures are comfortable for the climb and the air tends to be clearer, which improves visibility from the lookout.
