Čebínka Tower

Čebínka Tower rises above the village of Čebín in the Brno-venkov district of South Moravia, and it ranks among the more popular day-trip destinations near Brno.

What is Čebínka Tower?

The structure is a steel telecommunications mast that carries a mobile operator's antennas while also serving as a public lookout point. Its base sits at an elevation of 432 metres above sea level, and the mast itself is 38 metres tall. The observation platform is set at a height of 30 metres and is reached by climbing 161 steps, broken up by ten small resting landings along the way — worth keeping in mind if you're travelling with children or anyone who prefers to take the climb slowly.

How do you get there?

History of the tower

The mast was built in late 2002 and construction wrapped up in January 2003. It opened to the public on 30 August 2003, a date chosen deliberately to coincide with the 650th anniversary of the founding of Čebín village. Since then the tower has become one of the village's landmarks and a regular fixture on the region's tourist map.
