When the new castle went up, the surrounding grounds were redesigned to match. Particular care went into the formal garden laid out between the farm buildings and the main house, meant to work as a grand entrance sequence to the estate. Its layout blends early Romantic garden ideas with later Historicist formality, and the whole grounds were restored in the late 1980s, which is why the original composition is still legible today.

One thing worth knowing before you go: Laduč Castle isn't a museum or a hotel. It currently functions as a children's home, so access is limited — visitors can appreciate the building and its gardens from the outside, but interior visits aren't part of the regular tourist experience out of respect for the residents.
