Attached to it is a grander 19th-century manor house built in an eclectic-colonial style. The date "1872", carved near the ornamental well and the entrance, is linked to this expansion of the original farm building with a new volume.

The site has another layer of history: an 1865 tax register lists the property as "Enseñanza de las Monjas" — a school run by nuns. The only surviving trace of that period is a small chapel standing behind the main farmhouse.

Today Ca l'Antiga functions as a cultural venue under the banner "Trobades d'art" (Art Encounters). The building was bought by gallery owner Mariàngels Pérez and turned into a space for exhibitions, concerts, talks and other artistic events. Its exhibition programme features works spanning the 17th to the 21st century, loaned from museums, foundations and private collections across the Maresme region.

To mark the building's 150th anniversary, celebrated in 2022, the venue ran a cycle of six exhibitions exploring the natural, human and cultural dimensions of local history — including "HISTÒRIA", a show tracing the region from Roman times to the present with roughly 250 pieces borrowed from public and private institutions throughout Maresme.
