Niesytno Castle

Płonina, Poland

About this place

Niesytno Castle is a former castle in south-western Poland, near the village of Płonina, west of Bolków. Although Płonina Palace was later built on the same site after the castle fell into ruin, the place is still commonly called Niesytno Castle. Today, only the ruins survive, and the property is privately owned and closed to the public.

Na miejscu można liczyć przede wszystkim na:

  • the remains of the old castle site, which show the long history of the place even though the original structure has decayed over the years
  • the later Płonina Palace standing on the same grounds, making this a layered historical site rather than a single-period monument
  • a stop along the tourist Piastowskich Castle Route, so it can be included as part of a broader castle-themed trip through the region

If you are planning to see it from the outside, it is best to check access conditions in advance, since the site is not open to visitors. This is a good choice for travelers interested in castle routes, historical ruins, and quiet stops in the countryside near Bolków and Płonina.
