Wielka Racza

Rycerka Górna, Poland

About this place

Wielka Racza is a mountain in the Western Carpathians, right on the border between Poland and Slovakia. At 1,236 m, it is the highest peak of the Silesian Beskids and a well-known goal for hikers and skiers. For visitors, it offers a rewarding mountain outing with wide views and a clear sense of being on the border ridge.

Na miejscu można liczyć przede wszystkim na:

  • a summit area with broad panoramas over the Beskid ranges and the valleys below, which makes the climb especially worthwhile;
  • hiking routes through a scenic border landscape, with forest paths and alpine meadows along the way;
  • winter recreation as well, since the mountain is also a popular place for skiing in addition to hiking.

For the best experience, bring proper walking shoes and check the weather before setting out, especially if you plan to enjoy the summit views. It is a good choice for active travelers looking for a hike, a ski trip, or a day in a mountain setting close to nature.
