Because so much of this survives intact, the villa was partly listed as a historic monument on 13 August 1991. Protection covers the façades and roofing along with the complete decoration and furnishings of the kitchen, entrance hall, staircase, small salon, dining room, medical office and grand salon — an unusually complete record of how a well-off spa-town household lived and worked around 1900.
