Spešovská rozhledna

Spešovská rozhledna is a wooden lookout tower rising above the village of Spešov in the Blansko district of central-southern Moravia, Czech Republic.

At its base stand wooden sculptures of three notable people connected to the village: linguist František Trávníček, journalist and diplomat Bohdan Pavlů, and writer Madla Vaculíková.

To the north and east, the edges of the Drahany Highlands come into view. From there, follow the red-marked trail, which overlaps with the "Around Spešov" nature and education trail, then switch to the yellow-marked trail at the junction just above the tower, which leads straight to the destination. The full walk covers about 2.5 kilometers and is easy enough for a family outing without any special fitness preparation.

The tower is open year-round and free to enter. Clear days give the best visibility, especially in spring and autumn, when the air tends to be less hazy than during summer. The roofed platform offers shelter from rain, so a short stop is possible even when the weather forecast looks uncertain.
