Parque de Tierno Galván

Parque de Tierno Galván is a municipal nature park on the outskirts of San Martín de la Vega, built on the site of a former gravel pit. It opened in 1983, and since 1986 has carried the name of Enrique Tierno Galván, a former mayor of Madrid — the town's council voted unanimously to dedicate the park to his memory. The site sits within the wetland network of the Jarama valley, forming part of the Sureste Regional Park.
