Na Oklikách

Na Oklikách is a concrete viewing pavilion above Ivančice in South Moravia, standing on a hillside in the Jihlava river valley at an elevation of 248 metres. Its name refers to the rocky outcrops called Okliky, above which the structure was built. It's one of the classic short-trip destinations from Ivančice — easy to reach, free to visit, and open all year round.

Where did this lookout come from?

The site has more than a century of history behind it. In 1911, a local beautification society (okrašlovací spolek) built a wooden viewing gazebo here. The wooden structure eventually gave way to weather and time, so in 1938 it was replaced with a more durable concrete pavilion designed by Miloš Navrátil. That interwar-era structure is the one still standing today, and it has become a local landmark for residents and visitors exploring the area around Ivančice.

The viewing platform offers a romantic outlook over the winding Jihlava River and the surrounding countryside.
