Just 2 kilometers from the town center, a 17-hectare site spreads at the foot of the Sierra del Gavilán and Sierra del Buitre mountains, where four springs emerge from the limestone massif to feed the Argos River. Two of the springs form distinctive curved pools known locally as "sartenes" (frying pans), and the whole system is considered the most abundant and cleanest group of springs in the entire Murcia region. The site takes its name from its former owners, the Marquises of San Mamés.
