Estanh Mòrt

Estanh Mòrt is a small glacial lake tucked into the high mountains of Naut Aran, the municipality that occupies the far end of Val d'Aran in the Catalan Pyrenees. Its waters rest in a rock basin carved out by ancient ice, surrounded by the bare granite ridges, dwarf pine and alpine meadows typical of this altitude, which only turn green once the snow has melted.
