Donas

Donas is a hill in Poland’s Pomerania region, located within the city limits of Gdynia, in the Dąbrowa district. It has two summits: the higher western peak reaches 206.5 m and is completely forested, while the eastern peak is 205.6 m high and carries a GSM tower. This is a good place for a short outing with a viewpoint.

• Two distinct tops to explore: the western summit is wooded throughout, while the eastern summit is marked by the GSM tower.
• A viewing terrace sits at 232 m above sea level, giving wide views over Gdańsk, Gdynia, Gdańsk Bay, the Hel Peninsula, and Wieżyca, the highest mountain in the Pomerania region.
• The area also carries a trace of wartime history, as a battle between the Red Army and the Germans took place here in March 1945, and nearby stands an old, abandoned cemetery that once served the residents of Kolonia Chwaszczyńska.
